Getting around (spoiler: no car)
Nothing on this itinerary needs a rental: the beaches are on foot, Formentera is a boat, and the club nights end in a taxi because you'll be drinking. Here's the whole weekend's transport in one place — including the honest part about how taxis actually work here in August.
The moves
≈ €120–180 total for two, all weekend
Friday in: land 19:00 — taxi to the hotel (€45–55, 30–35 min) is the safe call with bags. The AERO4 runs your exact corridor if Mobi4U shows a departure that fits.
Friday night, [UNVRS]: taxi out ~23:00 (~25 min, €35–40). Home: taxi from the club rank, or Discobus D1 to Ibiza port + D4 to Santa Eulària/Es Canar (~00:30–06:30, ~€4/leg, slow but real at 4 a.m.).
Saturday: everything is on foot. If you go into town in the evening, U6 in (~15 min), €12–15 taxi back.
Sunday: depends on the choice — the ferry leaves from Es Canar (15 min walk), Pacha is a taxi both ways (~€30–35 each), the quiet option is walking distance plus one short hop.
Monday out:AERO4 from your corridor, ~45 min, best frequencies of the day. Confirm the ~08:00 departure on Mobi4U the night before.
Why no car
€180–260 saved, zero parking anxiety
Friday — you land, you eat, you club. A car sits at the hotel.
Saturday — the whole point is not going anywhere. Every beach on the menu is walkable.
Sunday — Formentera is a boat, Pacha is a night of drinking, the quiet option is your own neighbourhood. None of the three wants a car.
The one exception: if you pick Formentera, rent wheels there — bikes, scooter or a tiny car at La Savina port. That's the fun kind of driving, on the island that's made for it.
Taxis: the honest version. Peak-August Ibiza has a real taxi shortage, and dispatch refuses advance reservations for club-night slots — you can't lock a car days ahead through the radio-taxi line. What actually works:
Same-evening ordering, started early. Call + WhatsApp Radio Taxi Santa Eulària 971 33 33 33 (+€1.45 booking supplement) 30–60 min before you need the car. At 22:00 they're responsive — drivers are positioning for club traffic; the bad window is 02:00–05:00, when everyone leaves at once.
Second phone lane: the Santa Eulària rank's direct line, 971 33 00 63 — a different desk from general dispatch.
Walkable ranks near the hotel:Punta Arabí (C/ de Sa Trenca 153, ~10–12 min on foot) and Es Canar (Avda. d'es Canar 47, next to the bus stop, ~15–20 min). Small ranks — taxis cycle through rather than wait, so budget some patience. Bigger ranks in Santa Eulària: C/ Sant Jaume by the Passeig de S'Alamera, and the port.
Apps as extra lanes: TaxiClick (official taxis), Uber and FREENOW — thin supply, install before flying, treat as backup not plan A.
Club ranks work — [UNVRS] and Pacha have marshalled ranks: staffed, orderly taxi queues that keep being resupplied all night. Join the line, expect 15–30 min at closing, meter on. Ignore "flat rate" touts away from the queue.
Fares are metered and regulated: night tariff ~€1.47/km + small supplements; the prices quoted through this plan already reflect that.
Bus practicalities: pay cash to the driver (small notes), under €6 a leg. Live times on the Alsa Mobi4U app — the published PDFs are scanned images. Evening frequencies thin out; treat anything after ~22:00 as taxi territory. The Discobus network (D1/D2/D4) only starts ~00:30.
Sunday: pick your ending
Three real versions of Sunday 2 August, priced and timed — each one fully scheduled hour-by-hour under The plan → Sun 2 Aug, where a toggle flips the whole day. Decide on Saturday, by mood. The honest constraint on all of them: you fly Monday at 11:00, which means leaving the hotel ~08:15.
Solomun +1
Pacha · 23:00–06:00 · from €50
The night: Solomun's Sunday institution, and this week's +1 is Dixon — a genuinely great pairing, extended sets, often back-to-back by the end.
The room: Pacha is the intimate one — no stadium production, just the island's most storied dancefloor. Smart-ish dress, no beachwear.
Getting there: taxi ~30 min, €30–35. Free Discobus D4 corridor exists but slow; taxi both ways is the move.
The flight math: doors 23:00, Solomun rarely peaks before 02:00. Leave at 03:00 → ~4 h of sleep → AERO4 at 08:15. Doable if you pack before going out and treat 03:00 as a hard exit — taxis via same-evening booking or the club's own rank. Stay to 06:00 and Monday is carnage.
Formentera
Ferry from Es Canar · ~€52 return each
The day: Santa Eulalia Ferry leaves Es Canar 10:00 (weekend timetable) — the jetty is a 15-min walk from the hotel. ~70 min crossing to La Savina; return from Formentera at 18:00, the only crossing home.
On the island: rent bikes or a scooter at the port and ride the flat, scenic lane through the Ses Salines salt flats to Ses Illetes; long lunch on the sand; Cala Saona or the La Mola lighthouse if you took a scooter.
Prefer it organised? Guided day trips (Civitatis, GetYourGuide and the booking-site excursions) run the same route with transfers and a rep sorted, plus hours of free time — a fair trade for zero logistics.
The seasick clause: Biodramina from a farmàcia 30–60 min before each crossing, deck seat, horizon. If boats are truly the enemy, the 30-min fast ferry from Ibiza Town halves the water time — details in the day plan.
The flight math: the dream version. Back ~19:15, dinner near the hotel, asleep by 23:30, smug on Monday's flight.
Ibiza Town
Coastal ferry · ~€18–25 return each
The day: the Santa Eulalia coastal ferry from Es Canar into Ibiza port — sailing in under the Dalt Vila walls is the island's best arrival — then the UNESCO old town: ramparts circuit, cathedral, lunch at Bar San Juan, La Marina's lanes and Vara de Rey on the way down.
Seasick-friendly: the gentlest boat of the three options — short coastal hops on flat summer water. Or skip the boat: bus via Santa Eulària or a ~€30 taxi, 25 min.
Evening: back by ferry ~19:15, then Nido at Las Dalias (garden free until 23:00) as an optional cap, or straight to dinner on the doorstep.
The flight math: zero risk — culture, sea views, in bed by 23:00. The version where nobody negotiates with an alarm.
A verdict, if you want one: Formentera is the postcard, Ibiza Town is the culture with a full night's sleep, Solomun +1 with Dixon is the story you'll tell — it just costs you Monday. Decide Saturday evening by mood: Formentera and Pacha both reward a day's notice (ferry seats, club tickets), while the Ibiza Town day needs no booking at all — which makes it the perfect fallback if Saturday ends with no decision.

Beaches, by how far they are
The ruler is minutes from the hotel door (driving-time scale). This weekend lives at the left end of it — everything you need is on foot. The rest is here for the "one day" file.
How the network works from your hotel. Beach lines radiate from Santa Eulària, not Es Canar — so most bus trips are U6 into town, then change. The exceptions on your doorstep: P10 (Cala Nova / Cala Martina) and the AERO4.
This weekend's beach diet is the walkable five: S'Argamassa, Cala Nova, Es Canar, Cala Pada and (by ferry) Cala Llonga. The bus-less northern coves — Mastella, Boix, Pou des Lleó — stay on this list as the reason to come back with a car and a free morning. Not this trip's fight.
Where to eat
Santa Eulària's restaurant street is Carrer de Sant Vicent — the U6 corridor ends three blocks from it. This weekend leans hard on "Near the hotel"; the "Worth the drive" spots keep their place for a future trip. Book everything: first weekend of August.
Getting home from dinner: the U6 back toward Es Canar thins out in the late evening — check the last departure on Mobi4U when you arrive, and treat €12–15 for the taxi home as the default after 22:30. The walk back along the coast road is 5.5 km and unlit in stretches; skip it.
The big nights
One locked, one on the ballot. Both need tickets sorted before you land — and both end in a taxi, which is one more reason there's no rental car in this plan.

Re-check before paying. Club listings and prices are from the Ibiza Spotlight calendar as of late July — line-ups occasionally shuffle, so glance at the official page when buying. Weekend ferry times (Es Canar 10:00 out, La Savina 18:00 back) are the operator's published schedule; they update tickets if it shifts.
